Technical Data Sheet

Diamond Shield — Alloy Wheel Ceramic Coating

30ml kit · Finger applicator pad application

Product Information

Diamond Shield is a nano-ceramic coating engineered specifically for alloy wheels. It forms a hard, hydrophobic barrier that protects against brake dust, road salt, acid rain, UV irradiation, detergents, and general road contamination, while delivering a high-gloss, easy-clean finish.

Application Surfaces

Alloy wheels.

Do not apply this product to: freshly painted or refurbished wheels (under 3 months old), low-quality or poor-condition refinishing, tyres, or trim not intended for coating.

What You'll Need

Application Instructions

  1. Wash and decontaminate each wheel thoroughly. The surface must be completely dry and free of dust, wax, oil, grease, and other contamination before coating.
  2. Prepare the surface using a cleaner that does not contain isopropyl alcohol, to preserve the coating's bonding performance. Dry fully with a lint-free microfibre cloth.
  3. Apply a few drops of Diamond Shield directly onto the finger applicator pad.
  4. Work the coating into the wheel one section at a time — spokes, barrel, and lip — using the shape of the finger pad to reach tight areas a block applicator can't.
  5. Once beading occurs (approximately 30 seconds under normal conditions), gently wipe away the excess using a microfibre cloth in linear motions.
  6. Keep the coated wheel away from direct sunlight, the elements, contamination, and water exposure for 24 hours.

Application Tips

Diamond Shield is suitable for both end users and professionals. Applying to a full set of four alloy wheels typically takes 30–40 minutes, depending on wheel size and design complexity.

Ensure the temperature and relative humidity of the application space are as close as possible to the suggested range (+5°C to +30°C / 41°F to 86°F, ≤50% RH) for maximum performance. Higher temperatures or humidity may cause the product to cure faster than expected — avoid direct sunlight and only work on cool surfaces.

Do not leave the lid open longer than necessary during application, and do not work on an area larger than roughly 250cm² per pass.

If the product begins to cure before buffing, do not force it — remove with a suitable polish or light abrasive, then reapply once the surface is clean and dry.

After coating, allow 24 hours before exposure to water or contamination, and 48 hours before any detergent-based washing, to reach full resistance to abrasion and chemicals.

Approximate Consumption Guide

Figures below are an approximate guide based on typical wheel size, derived from the product's tested consumption rate of 4–5 mL per m². Actual usage will vary with wheel design and condition.

Standard alloy wheel (up to 18")~2.5–3.5 mL per wheel
Large alloy wheel (19"+ / SUV)~4–5 mL per wheel
Full set of 4 (mixed estimate)~12–18 mL

Storage

Keep the unopened bottle in a dry, well-ventilated space away from heat and ignition sources, stored between -3°C and +30°C (26.6°F to 86°F). Shelf life is 12 months from the date of production when stored unopened under these conditions. Once opened, use within 1 week and close the lid tightly after every use to avoid product loss through evaporation.
